Hi everyone,
It’s been a while.
Just curious if anyone can shed any light on last weekends match between Cobram and Congupna?? Have heard reports there was a bit of a brawl up on the Murray in the seniors match ?
Keeping in mind the government's ban on gatherings larger than 500, as a matter of interest, on average, how many people do you think you get to you home games??.....
Conservitably, I reckon at Rumba, 4 football teams, roughly 86 players. 6 netball teams, roughly 54 players. Plus 10 coaches...
No no, let’s hear em out..... I think what I’ve picked up so far is “my girlfriend is prettier then your girlfriend”... at least wait until they start quoting their mum (the VCFL handbook) before you pull the plug on this one......

TRIB your such a pot stirrer lol.... Clubs can’t, and haven’t spoken about removing anyone from the MFL. Well, publicly anyways.... My understanding is at the delegates meeting the other night clubs actually said as much, stating they want Rumba in the competition. There is an undertone of...
I saw the league announced rumba coach as their inter league coach for next year, read into that what you will..... also if this grows legs I think it’s more likely the AFL will intervene while the MFL are affiliated, rather then push them away.
I dunno, but if there was a meeting, and it is over the GF incident, it comes across as a text book case of “mob mentality”. At least that’s how it comes across when you view it from a neutral position....But then, if it were in relation to Rumba pursuing an appeal, it would be even more...
Hmmm, I don’t think you can compare the role and responsibility of our tribunal volunteers to those carrying out the roles and responsibilities of our legal system. Well I wouldn’t anyways... whilst similar in there application, one is responsible for running our society, the other is for...
Oneclub, Yes i agree that we can't afford to lose focus of any victims in any circumstances. But from the perspective i'm discussing i think its best to speak in general terms, and I find it hard to comment on what position an offender should be in if they cause harm generally speaking. For...
Yeah I think he was reported twice.... and OneClub, I agree with most of what your saying apart from the league not needing to be neutral. I believe if they are to have any issue at all, it should be with their policies or the AFLVic policies, not their clubs that adhere to them. But I guess...
Is there a process for the league to do so?.... and why would the league do that? Both clubs are affiliated with the league, meaning the league has an obligation to both parties here. All the processes that were pursued were in accordance to the rules and were ran correctly. And I would of...
My bad, your right, neither football or netball senior teams mad it to t the GF last year (or this year...)..... and I don’t doubt that the major point is the issue from the GF. As hard as some might find it to believe even we have an issue with what happened..... but it is only hearsay, and...
Really??
first I’d heard of it... but it isn’t the first time I’ve heard of other clubs threatening to do this. For what it’s worth I can’t see it happening, a grade netball finished top of the ladder 2 years running, senior team played off in a GF last year, reserves and thirds played off in...
For what it’s worth I think it’s an interesting question, and am curious to see what happens.... In any case, the appeals board will either increase, uphold, or decrease his sentence.
I think you might be missing the point Swooping. Footage or not he still would of pleaded guilty, for a range of reasons.... But I ask you these questions, if someone pleads guilty for striking, should it be treated more or less severe then someone who pleads innocent and is found guilty...
TRIB I think that’s why we wanted a second opinion. What IS worse?? (striking is striking, and that should be the charge, not the result IMO).... It’s important to keep in mind no body has broken any rules in applying to the appeals board, and if they hand down the same or an increased sentence...
No-one from is condoning the incident, I suspect we are simply going to appeal for a second opinion of sorts. I think the question is how does a senior player, who one could argue should of known better, who caused serious injury, cop 6(?) weeks, and a junior player, who owns his mistake, gets...
Allegedly, what we are suggesting is that a league offical contacted the Barooga FC to to influence a result for the pending hearing..... can’t imagine it would of been to get them to throw out the case, given it was the umpires that initiated the notice and not the club..... it would be...
Yes my Bad, I meant Barooga (I thought I edited that before I posted but it appears not).... it was a tribunal hearing for an incident between Rumba and Barooga.....
WOW!! TRIB this is an incredible suggestion!!.... a tribunal hearing Wednesday night involved Rumba and Barooga, over an incident that involved a Rumba player striking a Barooga player. Not sure if it was the only hearing but...... and I can tell you the Chair nor the league certainly didn’t...
Watched the Rumba vs Echuca game. Rumba just can’t seem to capture their form from last year. I think they have a really good list still, but just seem to pull it together yet. It wasn’t the best game to watch, but led by Moon and co, and spearheaded by Mellington, United on their home deck was...
