I did not get tickets either. Got them last week, signed up exactly the same way, got a confirmation email after submitting the ballot and nothing. No email and checked for tickets on lions app/ticketmaster. Hoping they fix it up tomorrow so we don't miss out.
They assumed they were going to get more funding and ended up not getting any. Potentially they had existing funding pulled as well.
From what i have been told they have been evicted from the building.
I would but only for situations where a player has been knocked out and is unable to enter the field again. It's not really a red card but a conditional based off it disadvantaging the other teams loss of player
I think he will come good, but currently needs time in the reserves to get back to the basics/get confidence up. Not in the firsts where his poor decision making is creating turn overs.
I must be in the minority but i am fine with this trade. I have never really rated Josh highly but then again he has only been in the system for around 2 years. With his mental issues now i have doubts he will ever make it as an AFL player, but who knows. Best of luck to him and i hope he gets...
Way better then the garbage we served up over the last few year. That was the lowest point our club has been at since the Bears days. The issue is it takes time to get things back on track, there is no fast miracle cure to us being bad. Fagan has inherited a flawed list and it's pretty clear he...
Rich only had 5 disposals at the start of the 4th quarter. Let that set in.
Apart from that i was pretty happy with how we got back into that, far better then anything we served up last year.
Predicting that we lose by about 30-40 points. Essendon won't let us score like the Suns did. However still holding some hope that we pull off a shock win.
Geez Bewick is massively improved, really like what i am seeing.
Also noticed we tap the ball to advantage alot more rather then trying to pick it up and dispose of it in tight situations. Helps when you are actually trying to get to the ball first too.
I want to move on Rockliff and Hanley, i believe that we need the younger guys to step up into leadership positions without senior players getting bitter about it. Just from the murmurings i have heard that Rockliff is a bit of a whinger and personally i don't think this makes for good captaincy...
The umpiring was pretty terrible but the game was great to watch as a neutral supporter. Really love the way the bulldogs play, they seem to telegraph their handballs to one another, especially over the head ones. It really shows when you lift the skill level and understanding within the team...
Same thing as last year, Rich disappoints massively for most of the game. When he gets tagged he turns into a passenger. I would always put a man on him if I was an opposition coach.
Alot of players out on their feet after the game but that is the tempo we need to play at. We have quite a few small semi fast players and just need to keep moving the ball at all costs. I think if we continue playing at that speed we will improve our skills but also acquire the fitness we need...
So pretty much as soon as we start slowing things down and going around the boundaries you know we are cooked. Have done it nearly every week and the opposition just piles on the scoring. When we stream through the corridor we actually look good.
Our VC, Dan Rich played worse then Zorks, got a few cheapies in the final quarter to add to his huge disposal total of 12. Should he be dropped too? Who do you bring in?
I think it is a long term option but not the way Leppa wants to use them. We can't play slow down footy with these three, we have to keep attacking and using the corridor. As soon as you start slowing it down and using the wings as your primary outlet these players get nullified way too easily.
Slowing down the game is a mistake. Why would we need to slow down a game where we have a ton of zippy short guys who can tear apart teams if the ball is moved fast enough? I was at today's and Essendons match and the same thing happened, we started so well but then when we were told to slow it...
Not sure what Lester was on about when he was talking about slowing down the game, seems a bit stupid to me. Every time we slow down the game and go around the edges of the field we get belted. Bombing the ball into the f50 without an intended target has to stop, it is completely ineffectual and...
The problem is that the gameplan requires a high level of skill and accountability. Players need to know when and where to run without being told but this doesn't happen. I think we need to simplify it for a month and go man on man and aim to use the center corridor as much as possible until our...
Can't really blame most of the young guys for yesterdays loss. (Cutler and Robertson were good) Game was lost in the midfield and before 3 quarter time a number of our mature midfielders had minimal impact on the game. Redden for example was on 11 disposals up to 3 quarter time. He got 8 cheap...
My belief is that Brett Burton and Matt Hass have no idea what they are doing, They build strength and endurance but cut down players who get bulky. They don't work on training fast twitch fibre which is really important in professional sport. Look at Zorko this year, he has cut down and is...
I see a few people suggesting that Rich should be in the midfield permanently however i disagree.
Firstly playing down back makes him accountable, that is something i think he has lacked whilst playing in the midfield.
Also playing down back allows him to peel off or run forward into space and...
