Don't try & explain mate, doesn't matter he only went full tIme until 3-4 years ago, or that he still learning his craft
On big footy I know when a poster doesn't like a player, nothing will work...
The pitch was playing like a day 3 pitch that day
Plus Siddle & Hilf have more experience in their Pinkie finger than Lyon has in his body & SA didn't get our to them either - why couldn't they do it? Where is their criticism sunshine...
Thank Christ your not a selector

Excactly!
They don't bowl for long spells anymore - if your just bowling 4-10 overs at a time that's all your body is used to...that's what Test bowlers bowl in one session of an innings
No player likes being pigeonholed as being just good for short forms of the game or just a test/4 dayer...
Agree totally
Also the play a lot less SS and more 20/20, ODI'S rubbish so they don't get to bowl longer...
If I was running the show I'd have just SS played until the Boxing Day test & start tests series from there
I like Warner - I'm just critical that he needs to learn the different between when you can or can't go like a bat out of hell...some tests innings you can, some you can't (aka 2nd innings in Perth)
Doesn't apply today though
Correct - just needs some coaching/guidance/experiance to find that extra 5-10%
If Warnie was serious about helping the Australian team he'd put his had up to help with that....
Not about that...
He can't tell the difference between 20/20 & test cricket & bat accordingly, 2 down next batsman not in great touch he decides to swing at everything that moves & gets out playing a stupid shot which is not want the team needed
Until that changes he shouldn't be an opener
