Hmmmm. I just learnt that when Essendon wins a NAB cup game and start worshipping the Golden Boy as if he just moonwalked across the Yarra, it is cool and it is just happy supporters enjoying the moment BUT when we win a game for 4 points after a week of being called cheats and soft by other...
Good post. Where he is at is pretty much where the club hoped he'd be at around this point. Every game he learns something. Every game he gets a bit more confident. Every game week he is a tad stronger than the last week.
I will expect him to start stamping some more authority on the game once...
When you are picking boys and trying to guess what they will be like at twenty three you are going to have some misses and some late order hits you didn't expect.
The AFL will just give them some third party deals or more concessions when that happens. The AFL want them to be successful so successful they will be.
Hmmm. He had the talent but not the brains to go with it. On his day he was very, very good but those days were a bit few and far between a #1 pick. Still getting Jack Grimes out of the trade will probably mean we'll end up at least breaking even in the long run.
Barassi took Robert Flower from the wing and put him as a HBF. I'm not sure of the year though 83? 84?
Whether he influence Roos or Roos him is a question only they could answer.
Quod erat demonstrandum - Just a fancy way of saying "The argument is proved".
I'm not sure how just saying it makes it so but if it makes the Chicken Littles happy...
Just a case of bad news getting readers or viewers. Some journo's do take their dislike of certain clubs a bit too far but it's hardly a hidden agenda.
Who the hell do you think you are? Fat Eddie "thinks" he's gone and you want to crucify the kid. Go support Richmond - they like eating their own.
But you're not a Dees supporter so your opinion on our list management is irrelevant.
Take Sheed's advice and worry about your own backyard.
That the manager has at least fished the waters to see what is on offer around the traps. I'd sack my manager on the spot if he didn't do that even if I had no interest in leaving.
Muddying the waters if you ask me. I think the whole GWS strategy is to create panic and confusion among as many teams as possible. Get teams to spend big coin on the wrong players and create dissent among the ones that are not getting offered the fat contracts. Make the clubs overspend this...
No it was 2 & 18 and #5 later. More than fair and not the same thing.
Anyway the rules are there for the Scully deal and we all signed off on them so there is no point grumbling now.
Hard to say unless you know what the coaching staff where trying to achieve. All sorts of things are tried out at this time of year and not all of them will make it to round one.
Yup. Clarkson is under pressure from that meathead Kennett so we have to sack Bailey to make the OP feel better?
The constant message from the club is that we are trying to get games under the belt of the bulk of the team before we expect too much so as long as we don't start going badly...
Understood but it doesn't hurt to have a bit of a fortress. Will 6 their and you pick up another 8-9 elsewhere to be in the mix again. It might come down to the coaching mindset though - do you start blooding more kids this year to try for a flatter bottoming out or do you go hard again and risk...
Why would we be bitter? He wouldn't be in our best 22 and we got paid over the odds for him. If someone is going to raid your list that's how you want them to do is.
