I'm about done with the club. I haven't been a member for a few years and just feel like it doesn't represent something I believe in any more.
Not because we didn't get Balme haha. But the way it has been handled (not handled) is symptomatic and just more mounting evidence of an organisation...
Silvers' integrity? He knew.
There is no way you can turn around Silvers' appearance on AA then Balme informing Silvers he wasn't coming then Balme informing Richmond then Richmond PR putting together an image of Balme with his quoted statement and Balme signing off on its publication between...
I particularly liked the part where our CEO went on Rowe's show and had the opportunity to say no unfortunately that's not happening but instead played it up to look like it was a live option half an hour before the Richmond football club embarrassed us again.
Good times. Only the media.
Colour me surprised.
I'm disappointed with the way the club has let their ambassadors run with this and even had the CEO interviewed by one and still let it run.
Sold a few memberships on it? No doubt. Lost credibility though.
He strung it along. He would've known full well it was bullshit but instead said "I can't speak about people still contracted at other clubs" followed by some familiar rot about building the best football department around.
Surely those idiots know by now all we want is the truth.
Get the ambassadors to sell hope.
Don't deny anything.
Sell some memberships.
Come out in the end with the "we were this close and we never leave any stone unturned in our endeavour to build the best football department in the land"
??
Let's hope not. I actually got excited about this...
"You wouldn't want to have a part timer sitting above someone like Kelly."
As if Balme is just any old part timer
And as if Kelly has done anything to suggest someone of Balme's pedigree shouldn't sit above him in any capacity part time or not.
Cornes says he was happy to run with the Balme news cos he got a text from someone he knows who can 'be a bit of a rabbit'
Surely not Andrew Jarman haha
I would definitely be moving Sloane to a HFF to free up midfield minutes for our young midfielders.
But I would be letting Crouch go for the same reason (plus the FA compo).
Unless we are mad we are drafting another young mid this year. Need to free up plenty of room for them.
Ideally I would...
The trouble is he is very limited outside the midfield.
He's 100% midfield time or zero.
Start playing Laird, Crouch and Keays (on top of Sloane) and it becomes very difficult to see our coaches giving minutes to the next gen
