North next week are paying $4.60 for the win. Against us, the shitshow that is the 2024 Adelaide Crows. In Tassie. With Ned McHenry and Lachlan Sholl probably still playing.
Got to be a misprint
One day I opened a packet of BBQ Shapes and the bottom inch of the packet was filled with the seasoning bits. Something must have gone apeshit with that production run.
Was up there with my wedding day and birth of my kids as the greatest day in my life.
Anyway, the selections suck. Sholl is...
He's definitely in a funk at the moment, but my god we don't make it easy for him.
Great example last night. Ball coming in, Fog (top left off screen) points to the pocket where he wants the kick - where he has clear space to work into and an advantage over his defender. Instead, it goes to...
Great win.
What shits me and concerns me in equal measure though is that the coaching group seemed to have learned nothing from last year in teams of what a successful team dynamic looks like.
It shouldn't take us 4 games to work out that an older, dour midfield with no creativity, pace, or...
Notwithstanding all of the discussion around our gameplan, recruitment, list management, player development and coaching (all of which has been perfectly valid) - we just need a win to loosen this team up a bit.
Absolutely right. This is a system level issue atm.
The concern is that by the time they address it (if they address it), the confidence and morale of the group is already so low that it will take weeks still to turn things around.
Looking at it objectively as possible, it very much feels...
Yeah, pretty much. This quote from one of the articles best sums it up (think it might have been from Gary Lyon):
“Until today it looked like only the likes of Bailey Smith and Jack Ginnivan felt the consequences of the illicit drug code.
“If you’re caught cold and you embarrass the brand you...
If Sholl drops out I'll be in equal parts chuffed because he's puss, and super mega pissed that he was selected for round 1 in the first place given his shortcomings from the Gold Coast game are everything we already knew about him.
Reckon the whole McAsey experience has made them a little gun shy when it comes to key backs as well (not suggesting they are simiilar temperaments in any way, but might have tempered their approach with young key position players to some extent)
At this point of his developement, if we're in a situation that we only play Cook in certain scenario's (ie not slippery or against soft opposition), then we may as well sever ties with him now.
Top drawer bigman - incredibly good of you to give your time and energy over the summer to give us such a great insight into the progress of the lads. Super grateful.
Equally concerning that Sholl played exclusively in the blue team. Wtf
bigman thanks again. You've gotten us through the summer with these awesome write ups. Massive props
