Past #10: Ben Cunnington - will retire from the AFL after * game - 238 games/95+ goals/2x Syd Barker Medalist/Shinboner - thanks for everything Cunners

Legend. Watching him play meant a lot to me and I'm going to miss him. Thanks, Cunners.

Toast I just wanted to say..

    Tender Warrior = The Touch
  3. NiceCunnington

    Past #9: Andrew Swallow - 224 NM games - 3x Syds - captain '12-'16 - #43 '05 ND - thanks Spitta

You know you've finally achieved whipping boy status when both coaches vote you clearly BOG but your form is scrutinised in the changes thread and multiple posters agree that you had a "shocker."
  4. NiceCunnington

    Opinion Our best three players

    1. Swallow - Our most dominant, rounded, and consistent inside midfielder when fully fit. Incredibly underrated. One of the best tacklers of all time. Disagree with people that say Cunnington and particularly Ziebell have gone past him. 2. Cunnington - Has been playing great football for a lot...

List Mgmt. 2014 Rookie Draft - blink & you'll miss it

True, if there really was an unwritten rule, but I have always been a bit skeptical that it actually existed. Bigfooty North board is the only place I've ever seen it mentioned. To me, it always just seemed like the players being re-rookied were not wanted anywhere else. Oh well, hope to hear...

List Mgmt. 2014 Rookie Draft - blink & you'll miss it

That's what I'd love to know. If we let him go, fair enough and good luck to him. But if we expected to keep him and we were surprised, that's a monumental * up.

List Mgmt. Welcome to Geelong Cameron Delaney - Rookie Draft selection no. 32

Dreadful list management if we expected to keep him. I'd love to know if we saw that coming. Cam was a great talent who has shown heaps in his few AFL games. Not sure how his recovery is going these days, though. He's been injured a very long time.

Wonder if we saw that coming. If Cam gets himself fit, that's going to hurt.
  9. NiceCunnington

    Past #29: Brent Harvey - drafted w/ #47 in '95 ND - 432 games/518 goals for NM - AFL games record holder

Gee there were some shocking posts about him after round one.

FTA-TV Survivor: San Juan del Sur -- Blood vs. Water (No spoilers)

Very entertaining episode. Shame Rocker is gone. Wes and his old man are probably my favourites so far. The idiot brothers are pretty funny too.

Past #25: Robbie Tarrant - traded to RFC for CCJ&picks - 2yr deal at RFC - 174 NM games/44 NM goals - retires 13/7/23 effective immediately

Great news. I was one of the few posters who preferred him in defence. Think he has shown pretty good signs there, particularly in the NAB Cup a few years ago. Good luck to him.

Past #24: Levi Greenwood - officially traded to Collingwood FC for pick 25 (2014) - retires rd16 2021 due to concussion symptoms - go well Pig

The other thing I took from that interview that hasn't been mentioned is that Levi still wasn't confident of his place in our midfield.

Past #24: Levi Greenwood - officially traded to Collingwood FC for pick 25 (2014) - retires rd16 2021 due to concussion symptoms - go well Pig

Levi could very well think that. It would be a minority view and one I disagree with. What a revelatory conversation.

Past #24: Levi Greenwood - officially traded to Collingwood FC for pick 25 (2014) - retires rd16 2021 due to concussion symptoms - go well Pig

My original post that you quoted said that he has left to join an inferior side. You, if I'm reading you right, implied that maybe Collingwood will be a better side than us after this move. I still think that Collingwood will be an inferior side regardless of Greenwood's move. I don't...

Not sure what you're getting at here. Yes, I do think his loss will make a difference to our side. No, I don't think Collingwood will now be a better side than us because of Greenwood's move.

I think all the vapid bullshit that's inevitably going to be written about Higgins, Waite, Jacobs, etc. is going to be more annoying for me than missing his on field ability.

If we were indeed playing hardball on his contract, it's time to play even harder now. Send him to the Dogs via PSD if we don't get a decent deal.

Ok. Well that's that then. I'm furious. Extremely disappointing decision. He's chased the cash to play for an inferior side. I guess it had to happen to us sometime. Didn't think it would be Greenwood. I saw a poster yesterday saying that he doesn't deserve to be booed. Well, I won't do it...

Who was the last North player to leave for more money? Brad Moran? Just doesn't seem to happen here. Think of the kind of deals Swallow, Wells, and Boomer have knocked back. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in his meetings with Pickering. It's well known that some of our young players have...

Very rare 5s to Cunners and Thompson vs Sydney.

    Past #4: Shaun Higgins - Higgo traded to Geelong for 2020 #30 - 2x Syds/108 NM gms/96 NM gls - thx Higgo

Not nearly as soft as many of our posters are saying. Hope he can get his body right. Could still play plenty of footy for us.
