Wally, this thread was tongue in cheek. It was just a bit of an answer to Dan's 'theory' that Carlton not caring about winning flags themselves, and that they only care about beating Essendon (see his post in this thread). Which is obviously rubbish.

Goon??? What the hell have I done?? Your first post was VERY unclear as to who you meant by 'they' (ie. you didn't say who you meant). How am I meant to know if they are official AFL t-shirts or not? I've never seen them in my life, I didn't have a clue that they were made by other clubs...

I dunno who you mean by 'they' is. I presume that the essendonfc merchandising dept. don't make the Carlton t-shirt that you described. Anyway, on the order form it made no mention of any alternatives whatsoever. It only says....."and anyone that is playing Carlton." Essendon = Carlton...

My girlfriend just got her Essendon membership in the mail, and I was very interested to see that they also sent her the option to buy a t-shirt which says: "I barrack for Essendon......." on the front ".....and anyone that is playing Carlton". on the back. This confirms once and...

I tell you what came back to haunt you - Four Essendon players (Soloman, Moorcroft, Rama and McVeigh) all gave Camporeale a big spray and/or pats on the bag when he mucked up to seemingly give you guys the game. Its funny, but from then on you guys seemed to take your eye off the ball a bit...

G'day, Another great Carlton v Essendon contest yesterday. A brilliant crowd (given the wet weather) and a match with plenty of twists and turns. I can understand if you guys don't have such good memories of the day, but I know your time will come....so i better enjoy ours now...
