That inconsistency is going to happen with a young team, overall I think they've done really well all things considered. I honestly don't think the 'current' version of Auba staying would have been a benefit, the 'past' version of Auba - different story.
I agree, it's been handled poorly no doubt. Unfortunately that's just how we roll these days - Ozil for example.
Since Auba played his last league game for us, we've won 4, drawn 1 & lost 1 (Man City). The young lads have done alright, just gotta hope they stay fit!
Auba leaving was the best thing for both parties considering his last 12-18 months, our young lads have stood up well in his absence. Hopefully they can keep it up.
Looking at our squad on paper, there's plenty there to work with.

Injuries, covid, poor structure, red cards, have all played a part in our disastrous start but it's still unacceptable.
The IB has come at the right time for us...
Pains me to say it but we are just a middle tier club and have been for a while in terms of performance. Teams just don't fear us, at all.
The thing is, we seem to be getting worse which is just depressing.
I just hope Auba gets his spark back, preferably this week! Please!
For sure but considering the fixture pile up atm the added depth would have helped. We had a back four of Kola, Holding, Mustafi & Bellerin earlier in the season against Pool for the 1-1 draw. Think that D would have held up much better today.
Typical of Arsenal, isn't it? Out of all the comps and THEN they decide to start putting in decent performances. Just goes to show what we've known for a long time, they are mentally fragile. Such an unbelievably frustrating team to support, I feel for the members.
For mine it's Swansea, WBA, Watford, Palace, Sunderland, Norwich & Villa but like glenferry23 has said, right now nothing is said with any confidence. All the other games are 50/50 I reckon. At least we know that we'll finish the season strong as per usual!
