Thought I would make an individual thread for this.

This week Pokerstars will launch the inaugral Pokerstars Micro Millions series, a series made for the small stakes players, a lot of whom may play on this forum.

Buyins range from $0.10 rebuys through to the $22 Main Event. It should be a lot of fun, and I think this thread would make a good spot to sweat each other through the events.

About to play a .10c satellite to Event 08...already signed up for the opening event early tomorrow morning, and .11c buyin (gotta love the "Micro" part of it!) using this as a warm up - if I get in, so be it - but i'm happy to buy in...

I'll keep you all posted on how I do in this satellite...and let you know how many crazies are out there (given its pokerstars, im guessing millions!)

Yeah, I'm very much looking forward to this, will be trying to play as many events as I can.

The $0.11+r event 1 has potential to be one of the most ridiculous tournaments ever with unlimited rebuys, going to be a complete luckpot. Way too early to be playing it though.

I saw there is close to 50,000 entrants for Event 1, going to have a crazy amount in that one, might get close to max of 100,000. I'll be playing Event 3 tomorrow (using my free ticket), looks like a ridiculous huge field already, getting close to $75K guarneteed already.

Im only playing event 1 cause I have tomorrow off...starts at 2am my time so no way I'd play if I was working!!

In this satellite I've already doubled my starting stack to 2k with just solid play. Doubled up with AK against KK with an A on the flop and have just cruised around the 2k mark since then.

Yeah, Im going to play live tonight for about 6 hours, then come back and play these.

I set the line on the o/u on amount of all-ins on the first hand at about 6.5 if it is 9 max. Il probably fold something like JTo which was the best hand preflop lol...

Should be fun, Im going to try and make a run of playing almost all of the events as possible. Dont have work, should be fun.

With the rebuy structure, tonight is going to be nuts...if I get knocked out early I'll rail you Ash...i'm so glad im on Annual Leave at the time this series is on...I only ever play micro stakes cause I can't dedicate enough time to poker because of work.

I accidentally just signed up to a $1.50 (.27 per K.O) knockout Omaha Hi/Lo NL tourney...i ended up coming second an knocking out 4 people for almost double the money i paid to sign up!

I doubt I'll play more than 1-2 events tonight - given that they start in just over an hour which is 3AM melbourne time, coffee can only get me so far!

In terms of the TLB - I'm hoping for quality over quantity lol. Should be a good series, the prize pools are quite generous for the small buy-in - though the big fields will make it more of a challenge to consistently go deep and cash.

Shame we dont have a hand converter on this site, there are plenty around though if anyone is posting hands that want to either discuss or point and laugh at.

Good starting point is either the 2+2 forums, or the DC converter.

If anyone sees a first hand fold around to the BB, that will be post worthy LOL.
 
I doubt there will be any fold around to the big blind - especially with the unlimited rebuys - I suppose Pokerstars are trying to recoup the guaranteed prize pool....with the crazy things that go on in online poker - I'm liking their odds!

Thank god for Sportscenter and college basketball for keeping me awake until now...now it's coffee's turn to pitch in!

Rebought something like 200 times or so, regretted signing up for this thing 2 minutes in, its going to be a long night.
My table stacks are around 600, 800, 300, 1500, 1100 and me at 15000
Basketball is on though :)
 
Up playing Events 2 and 3, managed to win a few flips in event 2 which is also a rebuy event to put me about 2000th out of 20,000. Still early days and hopefully all the shoving settles down after the re-buy break.

Solid jinx

Out in the 10x rebuy, made a few weird plays including flatting AA twice preflop.

First time board runs out 3 hearts and turn heart, I c/f turn getting lots to one.

Second I flat a raise on button with 16 bigs or so. SB calls too

Flop 852 with two clubs, I have Ac

check, bet of 5x, I shove for 17x, sb shoves 25x, pfr folds

SB has Q7cc, gets there on the turn

Time to jinx me. I'm 274th out of about 14,000 in this $1 rebuy, had some lucky calls, highlight was having J9s with two spades on the flop of AJ8, other guy shoves with AK, I call, Mangaged to hit Ks on the river. :eek: Still in Event 3 but I haven't really been able to do anything with my chips.

Busted Event 3: $5 NLHE pretty quickly, c/c three streets on ATx-x-x turn was probably a fold in a single raised pot.

A couple other standard hands and yeah, LOL donkaments

Still in Event 2: $1R and Event 4: $3R PLO

Made a close fold after a shove for 8x, a call by a loose idiot, and a 3bet shove for 13x by SB. I had ATo and mucked it, would have made broadway.

I have no idea if thats a LOLbad fold, close, or LOL results orientated donkey.
 
I quick summary of my events so far...

I played all events so far

EVENT 1: 10c unlimited rebuys 6max

This event was interesting because of the rebuy format. It was like a normal rebuy except the ceiling for allowing rebuys wasnt 2x the starting stack but 1000000 chips, with the starting stack being only 50 chips, starting at 1/2.

I rebought about 200 times, so had a stack of around 10k playing a casual 1400bb deep at times lol. Some people bought in 600+ times :eek:

I cashed, finished something like 2600 out of the 71k starters or whatever it was. Standard fare, cashed for something like $9 but not sure

EVENT 2: $1R NLHE

This was expensive. It was a super fast and shallow structure, so that toward the end you were rebuying for very few BBs, as is standard with this event. I happened to run pretty bad, got myself in for A LOT of buyins.

Got close to cashing toward the end, but it eventually folded to the button who shoved 8x. I called off 6x with KQo from the BB, and lost to pocket 4s

EVENT 3: $5 NLHE

Boring. Got nothing started, got TPGK vs a set and lost a lot of money, lost a flip with JJ vs AK, the usual.

EVENT 4: $3R PLO

Again, got nothing really going. When I did, 5 minutes before the end of the rebuy period I flopped a set, got it in vs naked Aces and lost, which was for about 70k with the double Rebuy being 10k.

Didnt really look like cashing

EVENT 5: $10.50 Super Knockout Turbo

Half of the money for this tournament went to bounties. I ran fairly hot at the start and built a nice stack, and then kind of hovered. The bubble burst (We had 19k players, top 2450 cashed or so) and then I got a few lucky doubles including AJ over AK on the river, and snagged a few bounties.

Got KOed 440th out of the field with A8o shoving for around 8bb in the HJ, and getting action from both the SB and BB who had me covered. SB had TT and JJ for the BB, TT made quads.

EVENT 6: Halfway though the tournament, I have an average stack.

Despite going 2/5 for the day, and snagging more then my share of bounties I am stuck. FU rebuys
