Oliver Florent
Young speedster Oliver Florent has become a crucial element of coach John Longmire’s team since the Sydney Swans secured him with their first selection at the 2016 AFL Draft. The Victorian has shown glimpses of exhilarating footy on a wing, most memorably when he jagged a runaway goal in Round 4, 2018 to seal a gripping victory for the Swans over the Bulldogs. But Florent, who’s also spent time on the inside of the contest, is determined to continue to grow his game as a hybrid midfielder in 2020.

Once again i did post this weeks ago , 1 more to sign and another nail in the coffin for Hayward
I know you have said all along but if McDonald signs soon do you think there's still any chance Hayward does? Or do you think unlikely to stay

I'm over the moon. A favourite son, one who is clearly loved and loves this club, signing up for another five years (100+ games) on the eve of his 150th is perfect timing. It cuts through all the media noise around the game and frames the game as a celebration for our players. A chance for his teammates to toast Florent's 150th at a very personal level, in the same way they got up for Rowy's 100th

Perhaps the playing group are sensing this is going to be a huge year, with a number of players really lifting their output alongside increased competition for spots.

We're already getting a taste of Ollie's prime as he seems to be pushing his game to another level this year. Whatever we paid is worth it for five of the very best years of Florent's career. I can't wait.
