Thats because of the Vicbias EJ thanks for making my point.

Ashcroft would have won the award if he didn't suffer that awful ACL in round 16.

Or Owens would have won.

Amiss was never going to win, maybe in other years yes, but this was an unusually strong field this season.

Probably the one that values impact over accumulation of touches.
Wow this impact thing is important I wonder which of Owens and Sheezel had more score involvements or goal assists for the year, especially considering Sheezel spent most of the year in the backline.

Yeah but hoyney from champion data…

Vicbias.

Amiss was robbed.
So serong winning a few years ago was Vic bias?
Amiss was averaging 7 disposals a game and barely did anything but kick goals.
Sheezel had to break records to win it, and he’s the first north player to win anything since Shannon grants norm smith in 99. Not exactly vic bias when our club never wins anything.
Get over it

Sheezel had to break records to win it

Sheezel had a great year but the continual line of a record breaking year, although true statistically, is also somewhat misleading.

After all, the season had an extra round and he also collected some free disposals from kickouts which weren’t previously counted. So it’s not really record breaking if it’s a fair playing field.

Great year though and will be an excellent player going forward. Somewhat surprised Amiss wasn’t a bit closer though. Very very few key forwards can kick as many goals as him in their second year.
