Captains 2023 Round 10 VC / Captain

Oliver at the Adelaide Oval hard to ignore.

Gulden off 2 weeks 150 vs North hard to ignore

Bont/English/Laird/Dawson all at the same time as Gulden is tricky.

I can't pick a captains score to save my life at present.

Probably VC Oliver/C Madden

Oliver into Bont again most likely, bit boring.

Had Petracca not banged himself up in the last 30 seconds against Hawthorn, I would've potentially chucked the VC on him as he's been in better form than Piggy recently. You just know a Piggy 150+ isn't far away though – hope it's this week.

Same here ....never had a season where picking a (C) has been so difficult .....complicated by available loophole players

Probably Gulden (VC) into Naicos (C)

The previous 4 seasons I've averaged 131-135 for captain scores - this year 110.

Feels like I'm down about 350 points on captain scores. Which would have me ranked about 500......

Sad Kristen Bell GIF

VC - Gawn - Teakle/Lycett/inanimate carbon rod leak ruck points. Oppo rucks averaging 127 this year (135 if you take out OMac's 67 in round 1)
171 - Goldstein
110 - Draper
159 - Marshall
133 - B.Williams
139 - English
113 - Ladhams
121 - ROB
137 - D.Cameron
67 - O.McInerney
Should be a field day for Gawn, though we might see both Gawn and Grundy go 120+

C - Bont - No explanation required

Piggy never seems to fire playing Port though - think the VC is a waste this week.

In his whole career he's never gone 120+ against them. In 7 games since debut he's gone 88, 116, 108, 71, 105, 118, 68.

VC Oliver
C ...........

Gulden worries me. Hard to bang out 3 consecutive massive scores in a row. Premos playing North haven't been going huge either.
Daicos vs Carlton.
Dunkley vs Gold Coast - only 1 good captain score from this year but I'm tempted to jump on.
Taranto vs a depleted Essendon midfield and Richmond back in form. If only the kent could kick a drop punt.
Bont everytime I go near him with a VC or C he shits the bed so I'll stay away for the Bulldogs sake.
Dawson in Ballarat. Won't love the conditions for his style of play.
Big Sean Darcy against a spud Geelong ruckman could be the way to go - he makes me nervous though.
Brayshaw/Steele/Warner/B Smith - not C options unfortunately.

Are Port going to give more CBAs to Drew, just so he can tag Oliver?

I know Oliver doesn't have the best history against Port, but this game screams of a contested battle where Oliver could go 150+

Laird has been struggling to get up for games recently hasn't he? Playing sore. Wait for him to start putting some big scores together before giving the C/VC
This is true, he’s also had 23 tackles the last 2 weeks. Think he’s ability to spread has been impacted lately (calves).

Wet day in Ballarat Saturday. Lots of stoppages no doubt. Will get 10 tackles. Just needs to find it 25+ times and will go 115+ . I’d imagine his calf issue is only getting better.

If he goes big a few times before you decide to put the VC/C on him you’ve already missed his good scores 😀
