Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but I was flicking the old radio dial in the kitchen a few weeks back and presumed I was listening to Magic 693. Lo and behold a few minutes later an old 3GL station ID blasted out ('3GL on the west coast!). WTF!!??
Turns out, the old 3GL is back on the AM dial - 1341 to be exact - playing 'oldies'.
When I say oldies, it's basically classic rock and pop from 1956-1969 - everything from Chuck Berry, Stones, Hendrix and Beatles, to Motown, acid, psych and girl-group nirvana.
Oh - and there's no ads. Just those old station IDs from the 1980s every 10 minutes or so.
No idea who's running it or how long it will last and the fact it's smack in between Magic 693 and Easy Listening 3MP makes it a bit cheeky, but if you're into your classic rock ad-free, it's friggin' heaven.
