Wow! Trinity were too good! Great 1sthalf, then the stronger bodies of Trinity took over.
It was a good year for the agsv and it should be an even better 2013.

Trinity Crowned the rightful kings of AGSV football-
The inspirational Mr Maus gets his first flag after so many years of hard work coaching-

Yes! Trinity did deserve win! But McDonald was not best on ground!
I thought Perry number 10 for Marcellin was!

That's a bit rough! Trinity would be any Aps team this year! Marcellin probably as well! This year there was three teams that were stand outs, the rest were not in the same league! Trinity, Marcellin and Pegs this year were on a good day a 100 points better team than the others. The APS is so even, it's a better comp in that way! Every game is competitive!

Yes, Trinity and Marcellin this year would be a little but above the top APS sides (even though APS do Scholarships - was Rioli born in Hawthorn or just miraculously appeared at Scotch) ?
PEG's have done well in the Herald Sun Shield in previous years (got to the G/F last year I think) so have proven the strength of the top AGSV sides.

Agree that the bottom 2 or 3 AGSV sides are not that good - but without scholarships it is a bit the luck of the draw for the year you are in.

And huge congrats to Steve Maus and Rohan Brown for at last snagging a Flag for Trinity - they should have won one last year, but ran into an unbelievably good PEGs team. This year I think the Trinity side was as good again, if not a bit better, and PEGs dropped off for some reason.

The speed the Trinity side moved the ball from one end to the other in the G/F was as good as any TAC Cup side I have seen.
    Very impressed.

Assumption look like they are in for a very tough year, with not too many standout year 12 students. Looks as though a fair amount of the team will be made up of year 11s and year 10s.

I watched PEGS beat Assumption by over 100 a few weeks ago.
That never happened in my day.

I heard that they have severely cur back their scholarship programs in the last couple of years.

Shouldn't effect their Footy team as they have never officially done scholarships........
