Apart from Lloyd, who is our best kick for goal?

I would probably say Hird. If it was outside 50 then i would say scotty lucas. Why was Hille put in the poll...yes he did kick a reasonable amount of goals this year but he did miss some pretty easy shots..the final against port comes straight to mind.

I wouldn't pick Hird. Not these days anyway. From 40 or further out Hille seems to be very reliable, though you don't want him 20m out directly in front - guaranteed miss that.

Based off 2003 you have to rule out the usually consistent Rama and Rioli, both had bad years in front of goals by their standards. Not Mercs, nor Lucas - not anymore

Out of that lot Cupido.

Barnard was always a very reliable kick for goal

they're all pretty erratic, based opn this year's form
rioli is probably the best set shot out of them though, but he didn't play forward much this year.

Apart from Lloyd, I have to admit I never really feel confident when any of our players are having shots at goal.

Cupido is pretty good, but I've seen him kick some absolute shockers this year too. Hille is also pretty good, but then I think back to the Hawthorn game, and the Kangaroos game so I can't pick him. Hird, as good as he is ... his accuracy in 2003 wasn't fantastic at all. I feel much more confident when these players are on the run going for goal.

I've gone with Rioli, rarely have memories of him missing.

I've gone with Cupido.

Because when he has the ball, 40 m out facing away from goal, he is still a big chance to kick one.

mcphee is a great shot for goal, hardly misses - here is the 2003 list

Same here. I went with Rioli too!

Cupido kicked the most "out on the full" last year in the competition.

I reckon Cupido, but it has to be a set shot from around 35-50 meters. On the run he tries too much, and it goes out on the full.

Others who I reckon would be Smokin Joe (he has a surprising set shot ability), and Rama, who has the best kick in the AFL.

I've gone Cupido, even though his accuracy stats are a bit inflated by his OOFs. But I'd take a level headed Cupido kicking for goal anyday.

More often than not, I trust PhCmee - he's a good straight kick

Those stats show Welsh to be good too when he has a shot

Pevers, I'm just a little confused, your list says Ginger Pubes has kicked 3.1 for the year, although if I recall correctly, didn't he kick 5 goals against the doggies in r4?
