England continue to prove what a ******* shambles they are.
Have no idea how to pick another opener.
Lyth looks like someone who is lost and has no clue how to find his way back home.
To the English selectors, Lyth represents the opener that Compton, Carberry, Robson, Root and Trott weren’t. I’m not sure what they think an English opener represents.
Along with Ballance and Bell, they form the top order tail of England.
It's not all doom and gloom though. At least Anderson took a hat trick. Three innings in a row without a wicket. Oh wait... Guess it is!
Broad is the only bowler they have that scares Australia, even then, it doesn't scare them much.
Wood can't be the best 3rd bowler England have. Where are they looking?
In three Test series in a row, the English have led 1-0. In three Test series in a row, the score quickly became 1-1.
England all out on day 4 in 37 overs. That’s 5 more overs than they lasted in Sydney. That was only three Ashes Tests ago.

We don't need Nevill to be serious about retaining the Ashes. We could carry Haddin too and still win comfortably.
I do agree though, Nevill should be in.
Haddin is past it with the bat. Hasn't shown much since that 2013 series where he saved our arses time and time again. These days, his batting average isn't that much higher than Lyons. True story!

I just we hope we go in un-changed as long as Rogers is right to go. Can see England making a number of changes. They really need to do something about their top 6.

If the guys playing in County cricket were any good they'd already been playing for England. Lyth, Bell and Ballance are really struggling.
M.Marsh was on SEN tonight and he was confident Rogers would be ok.

Bell might be lucky because he has runs on the board, but I can't see Lyth and Ballance playing next week.
Ballance has been booted for Bairstow already. So he for sure won't be playing.

They really need to move Root to 3 in the order. It's a waste him coming in at 3-30. Let him come in 1 down and steer them through the harder part of the innings.
He's getting moved up the order now with Bairstow in. Bell end at 3, Root at 4.
