When voting, keep in mind that here's how the competition was defined;

We each draft 8 players (starting 5 + 3 man bench).
Players drafted can only be from current NBA rosters.
You draft the best possible team to win this year.
We ignore current injuries in terms of drafting.
We ignore any other factors such as suspensions, contracts/free agency, etc.

The idea for this competition is that we draft a team from current rosters that we believe could win the championship this year had they been together for the entire season, and all remained healthy.

And remember, as requested by you, the fans, we've got extra criteria for the picks to make it interesting;

Extra Criteria for Picks - Each team must satifsy this criteria
*1 starting player who has not been an All-Star
*A designated 6th man
*1 player who has played less than 2 full seasons of NBA basketball, for whatever reason
*1 player from the team you support

So vote accordingly. Vote for the teams you think best satisfy all the criteria, the teams that you think would have the best chance at the championship this year had they been together for the entire season, and all remained healthy.

And remember, anyone can vote, but draft competition participants votes count for 2!

This was the toughest matchup in round 1 for me. In a true 51/49 split decision, I had to give the honours to nufan, purely based on what I consider to be the better bench.

Tough tough one though. In a 7 game series, I'd imagine this one would get to a 3OT game 7.

nufan wins this for mine. Defensively the best team in the competition however will rely heavily on Rose and Gordon for scoring.

if you go position to position Shade just wins and then he has the better bench

Position to position;

PG : Rose>>>>> Kyle Lowry (not even close)
SG : Kobe Bryant >>>> Eric Gordon
SF : Paul Goerge/Gerald Wallace (tie)
PF : Zach Randolph >> LaMarcus Aldridge
C : Tyson Chandler >> Greg Monroe

bench
Rubio/Millsap/Tony Allen >>> Batum, Gortat, Conley

Thats why I voted for nufan's team

i rate George more then Wallace and Aldrige more then Randolph and then the bench isnt a contest, Batum and co have it all over the others

nufan's team, just. His team is very well balanced as the flat-out scoring of EG and D-Rose would be a handful for an ageing Kobe Bean and an improved Mike Lowry to guard. And Monroe (Who'll be a superstar one day) is not adept to playing against a guy of such superior defensive length and presence in Chandler! Also the rebound count would fall in favour of nufan as he has chosen guys who are PHYSICAL, HUSTLING REBOUNDERS! :thumbsu:

Just checked the poll, very suprised of the outcome right now.

Quietly confident of progressing to the next round.
