“Beams was booked in the last quarter for rough conduct (dangerous tackle) and then was reported for abusing an umpire following the incident.

Both were yellow card offences so it resulted in a red card.

Pearcedale has until 12pm on Monday to accept an early guilty plea of three weeks for rough conduct and a reprimand and fine for abuse.”


Seems like a bit of a media beat up to generate some clicks. Also where the * is local footy going if you automatically get 3 weeks for a dangerous tackle?

People can’t be arsed to go to the tribunal. Automatic bans are the go. As for local footy . No stand rule in my neck of the woods … heaven.
