Me too! As a Darcy owner todays game makes me nervous.Cheering for Gawn lining up fwd 50 tonight
He needs to spend roughly 36-40% forward to obtain DPP?
Only 12 centre bounce attendances tonight (21 in total for the game), from what I saw he started the rest at half forward.
Yep, so possession heat maps are basically irrelevantdo that base it off where a player starts at bounces?

This aspect of the game has never been clear to me.Yep, so possession heat maps are basically irrelevant
The positions are decided based on heat maps and analysis that show where players line up during AFL matches
You could be right. I'm just basing it off what folks say on this thread (that only centre bounce positions factor) but perhaps not the most reliable source? This aspect of the game has never been clear to me.
Al Patton has said
That to me reads like Champion Data have some secret sauce formula that combines a players in-gameplay positioning on field (ie the bit decided by the heatmaps) with where they line up at centre bounces to determine their position for the purposes of deciding DPP.
Have I misunderstood?
Looked like a lot more than 34% watching the game.
Is his DPP confirmed?Yeah that’s totally why I started Macrae… I just knew he’d get DPP by round 12

DPP going to be so handy as a Macrae owner.
Macrae had 54% CBAs last night. Highest amount since round 5.He will be. Was sitting at 40% prior to game. Not a lot of CBA’s last night.
