How did you put them in, with the editor?
I used the editor and swaped New Zealand with the Brisbane Strikers, then changed the Strikers name, reputation, stadium and other things. I gave them about 6 players, i signed the rest in game. I also lowered the money and reputation of the Knights so they don't go poaching people.

Competition News:
Queensland leads Group A before the cross-over games on 7 points, Newcastle and Melbourne are both on 4 points and Adelaide United trail on 1 point.

Perth have already qualified in Group B after securing 7 points from the first three games, we sit second on 5 points, Sydney FC must win the cross-over game if they are any chance of qualifing for the semi-finals and the Central Coast Mariners trail the group on 1 point.

After three games in the Pre-Season cup, both Danny Allsopp and Jonti Richter lead the scoring charts with 3 goals each.

Sydney FC have been made favorites for the season proper closely followed by Adelaide United, we have been ranked as the outsiders in the league..

Coach Comments:
What a start for this new club! A cracking game against Sydney FC where we had our opportunities but couldn't quite get the vital goal. We then played our first home game in front of an amazing crowd at the Dairy Farmers Stadium and we won which was the best thing that could have happened for football in Townsville. We then had another home game against Perth and only managed a draw but once again it was a great spectacle.

Formation wise we are still a bit weak at the back but we are getting stronger, Michael Turnbull has been sensational in goal! Our midfield and attack has been great and can only get stronger when Scott McDonald returns from injury. We at this stage only have 19 players but I hope to add our final player in the next transfer window.

Competition News:
We won the Pre-Season Cup beating Newcastle in the Final. The other semi-finalists were Queensland, knocked out by us, and Perth, knocked out by Newcastle on penalties. The competitions leading scorers were Jonti Richter, Ante Milicic and Danny Allsopp, all finishing with 4 goals.

Queensland, Perth, Adelaide and Sydney all won their first round games in the A-League and fill the top four positions. We are fifth. After one game 10 players lead the scoring charts, all with one goal.

Coach Comments:
Heart, Heart, Heart!!! We have now made a name for ourselves in this country, we are the team that will not give up! Two-nil down at half-time in the semi-final against a side that had totally outplayed us just 4 days earlier and we got up and won. Adam Casey was supurb in that game. Then came the final. We were injury depleated, all our strikers were out and then Gareth Edds was sent off within twenty minutes. Most sides would have given up, not us!!! A late goal by the debutant Riki van Steeden saw us hold aloft our first trophy.

September Fixtures:
9 September: vs. Central Coast Mariners
16 September: @ Perth Glory
20 September: @ Melbourne Victory

Competition News:
Adelaide leads the A-League with 12 points from 5 games closely followed by Sydney who have 11 points from 6 games. We are third with 9 points from 5 games and Melbourne & Perth sit equal fourth on 8 points. Newcastle, Central Coast and Queensland are slowly slipping away.

Adrian Leijer at this stage has the most Man of the Match awards with 3 while Shengqing Qu leads the goalscoring charts, also with 3.

Coach Comments:
In the end, the month turned out quite successful but I believe we really should have won all our games. It was a scrapy game against the Mariners but we escaped and we were terrible against Perth despite going 2-1 up. We couldn't protect the lead and they scored two goals with only 10 men. However, I thought we bounced back brilliantly with the game at the Telstra Dome and finished the month on a high with an amazing win in the Queensland Derby.

My player of the month is definatly Adrian Leijer who was tremendos at the back, picking up 3 Man of the Match awards. Scott McDonald is starting to show his class with 2 goals in the last two games but unfortunatly he has picked up another injury and could miss the next month.

September Fixtures:
