Armageddon is upon us!

Well ... almost. The only things standing in the way of the seemingly unstoppable forces of Heaven and Hell bringing on Earth's destruction are a fussy Angel and a loose-living Demon who've both become rather fond of life here. They first encountered each other shortly after the beginning of time (which incidentally was at 9:13am on October 21, 4004 B.C.) when Crawley tempted Eve with the apocryphal apple and Aziraphale gave Adam his flaming sword to protect him in the wide, wide world. As their chance meetings throughout history developed into a relationship of convenience and then eventually an actual friendship, they have to hatch a plan to stop the plans of both good and evil coming to fruition.

For those of you familiar with the source material, I'm basing this on characters from Season 1 of the TV show. Mainly because I haven't gotten around to watching Season 2, as it's not based on the original book and I'm doubtful it will live up to the debut. Also, this isn't based on the book either, because I never read it on the quite probably incorrect assumption that writing a book with another author might dilute Terry Pratchett's genius.

Roles will be randomly assigned to all players. Roles will be communicated before the start of Night 1 via PM (Private Message), except for Earthlings, who won’t be notified of their role. The Rest Of The World must kill all of Heaven, Hell and the Horsemen before those players can satisfy their own win condition.

Each day will consist of two phases, starting with Night 1 on Sunday 7th April:

Night phase (9pm – 7am AEDT)
Players with night actions will nominate the targets of these actions via PM during this phase. These actions must be bolded and clearly stated to be valid. Actions will not be accepted after 6:59am, whether or not deadline has been announced in the game thread.

Day phase (7am – 9pm AEDT)
After the results of night actions have been announced, all players will publicly vote to lynch one player during this phase. Votes will not be accepted after 8:59pm, whether or not deadline has been announced in the game thread. The player with the most votes by the time of the deadline will be lynched and their role revealed in the game thread. In the event of a tied lynch, there will be a multi-lynch i.e. all the leading vote-getters will be lynched.

VOTING
Votes must bold the player being voted. Tagging the moderators is not required. You do not have to provide a reason for your vote for it to be valid.

FAILURE TO VOTE IN ANY DAY PHASE WILL RESULT IN A MODKILL

OTHER REASONS FOR MODKILLS

  • Failing to nominate a night action on TWO separate Night phases (explicitly choosing to not use an action is fine)
  • Any communication about this particular game of Werewolf outside of the game thread, except for those that have an allocated PM group
  • Any deleting or editing posts from the game thread
  • Posting screenshots of BigFooty of any kind in the game thread

ROLE LIST

Heaven (Mafia)

Get to kill a player of their choice each Night phase undertaken by the lowest ranked faction member.
  • God (Godfather) - Night immune to kills; Seers as if they are a Villager; Can seer a player each Night Phase
  • Gabriel (Manipulator) - Secretly changes someone's vote in the next Day Phase to a player of their choosing
  • Michael (Goon) - Can send one message each Night Phase via the Moderator to Ligur, but if they choose to do so, God loses immunity for that Night Phase
  • Sandalphon (Goon) - Can escape their first attempted lynch (the next highest vote-getter will be lynched instead)
WIN CONDITION - Kill all of Hell and Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and equal or outnumber the Rest Of The World.

Hell (Werewolves)
Get to kill a player of their choice each Night phase undertaken by the lowest ranked faction member.
  • Satan (Alpha Wolf) - Night immune to kills; Seers as if they are a Villager; Can seer a player each Night Phase
  • Hastur (Blackmailing Wolf) - Forces a player to vote for a certain other player in the next Day Phase
  • Ligur (Werecub) - No powers, but Hell get an extra kill in the Night Phase following their death; Can send one message each Night Phase via the Moderator to Michael, but if they choose to do so, Satan loses immunity for that Night Phase

  • Sister Mary Loquacious (Lone Wolf) - Is not part of the Hell PM, but Hell knows her identity: Targets a player every night and if it matches a Hell target, that action is randomly targeted onto another (non-Hell) player
WIN CONDITION - Kill all of Heaven and Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and equal or outnumber the Rest Of The World.

Horsemen of the Apocalypse
  • Death (Neutral Killer) - Targets a player each Night Phase and if it's another Horseman, they join together in a PM; If two Horsemen target the same player (or if two or more Horseman are in a PM together), the target action becomes a Kill action
  • Famine (Neutral Killer) - Same as Death
  • War (Neutral Killer) - Same as Death
  • Pollution (Neutral Killer) - Same as Death
WIN CONDITION - Make it to the 4 final players in the game.

Rest Of The World
  • Adam (JOAT) - Can either Kill, Protect, Roleblock or Seer a player each Night Phase (must use all the actions once before using an action again and can't use the same action on consecutive nights)
  • Aziraphale (Doctor) - Can protect a player from all night actions each Night Phase (cannot target the same player in consecutive Night Phases)
  • Crowley (Vigilante) - Can kill a player each Night Phase
  • Anathema Device (Seer) - Can seer a player each Night Phase; Always gets the true result; Does not know if they are the true or fake seer and cannot seer themself
  • Witchfinder Sergeant Shadwell (Fake Seer) - Can seer a player each Night Phase; Always gets a randomised false result; Does not know if they are the true or fake seer and cannot seer themselves
  • Newton Pulsifer (Wildcard) - In one Day Phase, can choose to invalidate all current votes and restricts the lynch to be between only two players of their choice; In one Night Phase, can choose to block ALL actions
  • The Them aka Wensleydale, Pepper & Brian (Flogs) - Share a PM together; Can target a player each Night Phase to see if they are Adam and if correct, Adam will join their PM
  • Earthlings (Villagers) - No powers except their lynch vote each Day Phase
WIN CONDITION - Kill all of Heaven, Hell and Horsemen of the Apocalypse before any of them reach their own win condition.
