To be fair, I would think United beating City this weekend would put them in the box seat for 2nd.

Arsenal have a tough fixture away to Burnley before our bogey team Chelsea come visit the Emirates. Dropped points in both of these games are a possibility. United have remembered how to to play well in big games this season, so a win v City is possible with only Chelsea (away) and Arsenal (home) their remaining fixtures to the top sides. They will be itching for the game against us at OT, especially after the F.A. Cup meltdown.

Nope. Better to have a result and then try to catch whichever one is the loser. Both dropping two points still leaves us 6 points behind United and 5 points behind City providing we beat Newcastle. That is still too far back.
