Australian swimming sensation Ian Thorpe dropped into Old Trafford on Monday afternoon after winning six gold medals at the recent Commonwealth Games.
19-year-old Thorpe, who is six feet seven inches tall and boasts size seventeen feet, was taken aback by the Theatre of Dreams as he toured round with other members of the Aussie swimming team.
He posed for pictures wearing a new, specially-made United shirt with "Thorpe 6" on the back, then showed off the six medals he won in the Manchester pool.
Thorpe is said to be a Spurs fan, but hopefully his visit to Old Trafford and pulling on the Nike jersey will change his allegiance!
Ian is now said to be aiming for nine gold medals at the upcoming Olympics in Athens.
