Cop out. Jurassic Park took itself seriously as an adventure and action movie. Had light moments sure, but that's what they were: moments. The Lost World: Jurassic Park was similar (until they go to San Diego anyway). Now it's sucked since Jurassic Park III. Didn't even watch the fifth one, reviews are that terrible from the serious critics down to friends on Facebook.
I enjoyed the most recent ones.
