Henley Beach is a coastal suburb of Adelaide. It is named after the English town Henley-on Thames. The mouth of the River Torrens is located near Henley Beach. Henley Beach is home to the Henley Football Club (the Sharks), the Henley Raiders Rugby League Club, the West Torrens District Cricket Club (the Western Eagles), the Henley South Tennis Club (the Hawks). Henley Beach was originally the home of the Australian Cricket Academy before it moved to Brisbane.

Develop an identity for a Henley Beach-based Australian rules team
  • Each entry must include an identity for the team: it's nickname and/or mascot. Ideally, nicknames and mascots will be relevant to the location.
  • Each entry must have a home and clash jumper, preferably together in one image.
  • Jumper designs must not be exactly the same as existing designs in the AFL.
  • If there is an existing Australian rules team in the location that doesn't have an AFL mascot, that identity can be used but the jumper designs must be distinctly different.
  • Each entry should include a logo. Original logos are preferred, but existing logos can be adapted as long as they are attributed. Current AFL logos cannot be used.
  • Maximum two entries per person.
  • Entries will close on Tuesday 25 February or when there are ten entries, whichever happens later. Round 7 will start when Round 6 closes.
  • The winner will chose the locality for Round 8.

I tried to combine the ideas of "Sharks" (AFL) with the "Raiders" (Rugby League) and came up with the Henley Beach Sharkhunters. Colours are similar to Damo Crows Fan, sorry mate! I had no idea youd used those colours too! :p The main design feature in the logo and the jumpers is the crossed harpoons

Nice stuff. How would it go with the yellow and white reversed on the 2nd guernsey, not the shorts, just the guernsey?

It seems to have stagnated. Possibly there's too many other comps running at the moment, but we might revive this in the future...

Since this round never really ended and since HaroLad gave it a solid bump, let's see if this round gets the required ten entries and then we can continue the competition.
i reckon 10 is too many, 6 or 7 minimum would be better, at least until FJGD world championship takes off and new designers begin to take part in other competitions
