Aph , on Alex Johnson . By all accounts he got through the season but was underwhelming according to a few reports . Five knees too much risk to rookie him or form etc. ?

He won't be drafted. Suffice to say his AFL playing days are done.

Cottrell did well to finish 7th. Like the look of him, might just have a player there.

It's more a case of not being injured and being able to run out the season. With a core contingent of maybe 4 or 5 VFL players and a couple of listed VFL stalwarts, it's easy to see how something like that can happen, and doesn't really validate long-term prospects.

He's got to go up another level in the pre-season from a footballing and clearance perspective in order to be worth playing at the next level as a backup, let alone a regular.

He certainly didn't get much time at the NB's this season. I think one of the problems the NBs had in 2019 was a lack of real run. But this is what it is. He wasn't being selected, so good luck to him.
Penrith does provide run but unfortunately he doesn't find enough of the ball or use it well enough to consistently impact a game.
