Face like a smashed crab, hairline of a 50yr old, heart of Pharlap. Tried his guts out for us every time he pulled on the jumper, where or not it came off.

A real workhorse, gutsy and a great bloke from reports.

Good on him for his service, he spent 7 years on AFL lists... So he was no turkey....Dominated the WAFL including a premiership BOG and was a cut above VFL too.... So he was a good back up player.

Remember one time he flew across the tv screen horizontal. Missed the ball, ump and every player in the area. LOL!

Similar to Kosi, and now Bruce, in that what he brought to the team was often impossible to measure statistically, and that was taking defenders off of Roo and Stanley. This allowed them to play much better. He mightn't have got the flattering stats, but it's no coincidence that we started to drop off, once his role in our forward structure was taken away. He'll never get the credit from many for that, but he did it anyway. That makes him the epitome of the clubman.

Always loved the way he went about it. Couldn't quite get the point with us where he regularly clunked marks, and because he went to ground in every marking contest this became a great weakness for him.

Will be a very good footballer and most other levels I think.
