Sitting in the grand stand i saw chivers strike brown about 30m behind the play clear as day, was one of the more shocking things i have seen on a footy field. If he doesn't get atleast 4 weeks for that then there is definately something wrong with the tribunal system.

I actually predicted earlier in the week a 23.13 (151) to 11.7 (73) win with young Hally kicking 8 so I went pretty close!!
It was a good win, they did what they had to do, you can only beat what you're up against so it was good to see them put the foot down late in the game and press home the advantage when Devonport had almost no one on their bench rather than limping to a softish 40 point result.
Devonport played alright in parts of the game too, very undermanned and have a lot of kids in their squad but they'll continue to rebuild as best they can, Rodman from Ulverstone was outstanding up front for them kicking 5 and presented a good tall marking option for them all day.

Interesting to read that Aaron Hall's father, Dale Hall is watching him intently behind the goals at many matches and offering him plenty of advice on where to lead to, where to position himself etc.
Dale Hall, a two-time premiership player at the club and ex-Swans draftee was pretty intent taking on the job of being a forward coach at Hobart last year but the club weren't interested.
A decision that still puzzles me to this day really. He's the FIRST person I'd have in charge of the role, personally speaking.

It was a very poor attendance but to put it in to context, Hobart had not registered a win, don't have a great deal of support around the club now for various reasons outlined in other threads (it's dropped noticeably since our first TSL matches in 2009), Devonport have had one win for the season, are in financial disarray and have likewise suffered from a strong drop in support for various reasons and brought no more than ten supporters to the match.
Am actually surprised they pulled that many, if we play South or Launceston there and we're out of finals contention on a cold, wet day, we might be lucky to break 100 in all seriousness - yes it is concerning.
