Agreed, on reflection the forwards did alright with some pretty horrid ball movement to make that look respectable. Only 35 inside 50s and a lot of those were trash after half time (besides McGovern's bullet).

Some defenders played well, they were under pressure that whole 2nd half.

Mids, not many played a good game. There's not much in the way of uncontested possession chains that don't look completely unco and panicked.

Umpiring was s**t, but that's AFL standard.

That free kick to Rowell when Cole hit him side on and the first 2 HTB calls that got GC going were particular highlights.

He just about rucked the entire game, witts is arguably the #1 ruck in the comp at the moment.

Why couldn't we have, instead of resting Reid, simply put him on Chesser's wing and asked him to play the same role, ie keep out the play as much as possible. If he'd played like Chesser he'd have got a few low impact miles into his legs with no danger of any contact injuries.
