Adam yze is either a madman or a genius, Graham and presty are being picked just makes me think that if they break down again they won't be considered for next year if they stay sound good for them good for us.
blending experience and youth is the way to go at the moment as 4 points means stuff all. being competitive and seeing who has got what it takes is better for us.
its his secret plan to get cumbo into the game when Prestia goes down with another soft tissue

The big deal is we bring back underdone players with no match fitness (Prestia, Balta) or injury prone players who's previous form doesn't warrant instant selection (Graham).

Prestia and Graham will either get injured or have no impact. Or both.

The omissions are great. The inclusions are taking a huge risk. Cumberland and Ryan and probably Smith was what I was stupidly hoping for.
Eh it's experience and who knows they might not get injured

The way Carlton structures their side has bugger all to do with how Yze wants us to structure up as well as play.

You serious? We did play two rucks which Yze now knows that was wrong hindsight is a wondaful thing.

We as a side bomb into our forward 50 rarely do we lower the eyes. Lefau as our main tall and two slowish rucks trying to play as 2nd key tall forwards rotating, that didn't work.

Ryan should of played who has kicked like a dozen goals in his last 4 games so playing a more mobile tall who can play ruck and forward would've been beneficial. This shouldn't have to be explained most see it with their own eyes.

Huge for Cumbo cult

shocked oh no GIF

I look forward to the next coming of Plugger to enter our fwd line and undoubtedly tear it up and kick 10 based on how the Cumbo Cult has been carrying on.

In all seriousness though, I genuinely hope he has a ripper but there is a very strong chance he is the sub...

Huge for Cumbo cult

Looking forward to the cult giving their honest appraisal of Noah's game tomorrow night, in the same way they have given their appraisals of others.

Honestly I just want to see him play a good all around game. He has shown that when he does the little things right, he gets the rewards. If he makes an error, don't dwell on it, he's still an inexperienced player at AFL level mistakes will happen and he doesn't need to be perfect all the time. Hell even the GOAT makes errors in games.

Our problem up fwd is we have 2 players who hardly have a defensive bone in their body(Dusty & Bolton). In our prime we had lambo/George & Towno too cover adequately.
Atm we have young inexperienced kids trying too take up the slack.
Bringing in Cumberland will only make it worse.
Shhhh, don't ruin it for the cult, now that he is in

Agree that Ryan should have played over Naismith, however Carlton have 2 genuine tall forwards, a ruck/forward and a ruck, we tried that early on and Yze found it made us too top heavy at this stage and decided the extra runner was needed which is why we've only played the 2 tall forwards recently.

Not a fan of Balta being asked to play ruck coming back from a knee issue and would have liked Ryan to be brought in, but can understand the decision to have the extra runner, given we struggle to run out games at present, the extra tall would impact that even more.
