There's a lot more to the Carter story than what was told in the movie and the Dylan song. Dylan flat out lied in many of the versus for example...

Yeah that is true.
Dylan has not performed "Hurricane" since January 25 1976. Apparently, this was following a conversation between Dylan and Rubin Carter in which Carter told Dylan "a secret". That is what I heard on 6PR the other night anyway.
There are much better people to talk about wrongful convictions than Ruben Carter, considering he was convicted, not once, but twice. Multiple counts of fabricated alibis etc etc. He should still be in jail, not going around essentially mocking the victims of his crime.
The movie where he got alot of his fame was flat out fabricated on most of the key plot points, and the song the same. No doubt why Dylan won't play the song any more.

The fact that he's over here representing an organization fighting wrongful convictions when it's highly debatable he himself was wrongly convicted. I thought it was pretty relevant myself...
