New dates this year and back to the single day format. Only a few bands confirmed so far on the official announcement, Dead letter circus and Bullet for my valentine. Lordi (not the NZ chick!) and a few others appear a formality via AJ's twitter.
The big rumour at the moment is that a reformed Appetite for Destruction Guns'n'roses might be the headliner. A few facts around this, as unlikely as it might seem. Current line up guitarist Bumblefoot and DJ have recently quit. Slash has just announced that he and Axl are now talking again for the first time in 20 years.
AJ has said that there will probably be only 1 headliner and they have pretty much final say on what and who goes on the bill. Can't think of too many acts that big to make AJ give them control. Maybe Zepplin, Stones and Foo Fighters. Stones only just been here, Zepp are less of a chance than Gunners to reform. Fooeys are free after November. Sabbath, Metallica, U2?
Maiden announced today they will be here in May so they won't be on Soundwave bill either.
Love to hear who people want to see and if any official additions are announced.
