West Coast Wonders Vs Geelong Gumbies​

The Wonders start season 15 off with a home game against the Geelong Gumbies. The off-season saw Co-Captains ClarkeM and croweater 41 step down and promote VC ShaunDuggan. The off-season also saw a lot of player movement, the loss of experience foot soldiers HawkPatrol and Marklar as well as club and SFA legend EKA retiring. The clubs under 12 mascot goats have also left for greener pastures. With all the loses the Wonders managed to bring back former VC Frothies Mcveigh as well as former SFA players Storm20 and Prospect Vale's Finest. Coopers looks a superb recruit. Wise Guy Sam has shown the professionalism of a 10 season veteran with his approach and will be in for a big year.

The Gumbies will be hoping to break thru for their first Premiership in S15. The Gumbies faded late in S14 and missed the finals, they will be hoping to change that beginning with a Round 1 win. Marklar has returned to his old team to play against his ..... old team and will be expecting to have an instant impact. Co-Captains StFly and peterss will have their players prepared for the big task. Reigning Mobbs medalist Claypigeon has set himself for a bigger season than last and will demand attention from the Wonders players. A Flying Pube looks to be the pick of the new recruits. Depth appears to be the problem for the Gumbies, they will be hoping their seasoned players can carry the team to that elusive Premiership with a win against the Wonders in Round 1.

Players to watch:

DemonJim (Wonders): Has had as much trouble finding the big sticks as a person trying to find a winning lotto ticket. He will be hoping he gets rid of the yips for this game and the season ahead.

peterss (Gumbies): With the entire weight of being the sole Captain lifted off his shoulders, Peterss will be looking to focus a lot more on his football. Noone is wanting a Premiership as mich as him and he will be expected to have a big match to kick start the Gumbies campaign.

Prediction:

The Wonders have relocated to their new home ground 'The Colosseum'. The Gumbies will be seeking revenge for the Wonders stealing their place in the finals. The new home ground will be a morale boost for the Wonders and will get them over the line. Wonders by 18 points.
