:D

Who called the city 'Stoke' anyway?

Very unusual name.

"There's only one Rooney. There's only Rooney."

(I think the other one's better looking)

And Liverpool fans might remember this guy?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salif_Diao

"He was signed by former Liverpool manager Gérard Houllier from French club CS Sedan Ardennes for £5 million (€7.5m) after impressing several watching scouts with his performances at the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan."

"On 25 January 2007, his contract at Stoke was extended until the end of the season and was permanently transferred from Liverpool[2]."

No fee mentioned but considering he didn't play for them for about three years before that, I'll safely assume that he was given away.

Liverpool's loss.

Almost as weird as "Hull".

The way you say "Hull" is how I'd imagine that a Geordie would say "hello".

It's probably safe to say that Diao will have a blinder against Liverpool at Anfield. He'll probably get a goal that'll allow us Potters to take some points home.

yep, only one team was trying to play football out there.

You can't blame Liverpool for going so defensive against us. Unlike United, we can intimidate sides by our mere presence on the pitch.

We really should be in the Champions League.

Clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, and co. could learn something from playing against the mighty Stoke City.

Does young CB Ryan Shawcross always put in efforts like that? If he continues to play like that a move to a bigger club wont be far away
