"The superposition principle is always valid—what is not valid is the inaccurate application of the superposition principle to a system with two or three slits," he said.

Of COURSE I know what this means. Of course I do.

Haha...I thought I had a reasonable comprehension of this experiment or at least used to many years ago.
I'm going to have to read this a few times!
Was the double slit experiment result the basis for the multi universe theory?

Don't think so. I think it forms part of the basis for the wave-particle duality of light. This can only occur with a wave, and apparently occurs with a single photon. Other aspects of light's behaviour can only occur with a particle.

The triple slit I can't remember a thing about.

Apparently a guy called Walter Russell, a talented sculptor, writer, philosopher etc of his time had it all figured well over 50 years ago.
The experiment is explained on his site as linked below though this seems an offshoot of his more extensive publications about the true nature of the universe which cover all relationships between matter and energy, and between electricity and magnetism.
It seems his main theory is this is an "electric universe of motion, not a Newtonian gravitational universe."

Anyway, just starting (trying to read) his stuff, its all too complex for me.

Anyone wanting to read further on the two slit experiment could have a look at Anil Ananthaswamy's "Through Two Doors at Once: The Elegant Experiment That Captures the Enigma of Our Quantum Reality". It's aimed squarely at the layperson and keeps the equations to a minimum. It got a write up in SciAm a few months back, which is where I heard of it.
