Just had a look through my all-time albums lists, and Blood on the Tracks was the only genuine comeback album in there.

I've decided to go with;

PJ Harvey - Let England Shake

Following her critical and commercial success in 2000 with Stories of the City, Stories of the Sea, PJ released 2 middling albums. 11 years later, she returned to form with a somewhat concept album that won her a 2nd mercury prize, and rated towards #1 in many 2011 year-end lists.

Not her best exactly, but a refreshing release, and a great comeback album.

1.
"Let England Shake"
2.
"The Last Living Rose"
3.
4.
5.
"All and Everyone"
6.
"On Battleship Hill"
7.
"England"
8.
"In the Dark Places"
9.
"Bitter Branches"
10.
"Hanging in the Wire"
11.

Bolded songs are the most memorable tracks.

Bloody tough first pick.

I'll go for an album which has one of my favourite songs of all time on it: Bohemian Rapsody. Queen - A Night at the Opera.

Side two

Anyway, when I think of glam rock there's one man that stands high above everyone else. So now the only the problem is which of his three brilliant glam rock albums to choose...

I would've been very happy with the albums released either side of this one, but in the end I can't overlook:

ziggycov.jpg

David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars

1. Five Years
2. Soul Love
3. Moonage Daydream
4. Starman
5. It Ain't Easy
6. Lady Stardust
7. Star
8. Hang On to Yourself
9. Ziggy Stardust
10. Suffragette City
11. Rock 'n' Roll Suicide

One of the greatest and most influential albums of all time. Bowie's amazing transformation from folk and psychedelia to full-blown glam rock saw him become the Ziggy character on stage and in film, with died hair and crazy outfits and antics. But anyway let's get to the music. So many iconic songs here.

BigFooty is being s**t and not letting me post Youtubes, so instead I urge you to go and listen to this album right now!

Do it!
