Just saw it then on Channel 7 in the half-time break between Sydney vs Carlton. Said that nothing Jobe said on Monday was news to him. Also congratulated Eagles fans on how loud the booing was. Said that fans have the right to boo and cheer when they like as much as they like.

Spoke quite well and look conflicted. Said he wasnt concerned about Jobe losing the Brownlow, and made a remark that if he is stripped of the 2012 Brownlow, he can either go and win another one, or take one off Rob Harvey who has 2.

Anyone else who just watched that brief interview between Bruce McAvaney and Tim Watson would probably come to the same conclusion - the Watsons knew what was going on at Essendon was a bit suss (with regards to the heavy use of needles, but put their faith in the Essendon hierarchy that everything was above board and not in violation of any anti-doping policies.

Anyone happen to capture video of it?

He didn't look conflicted, he looked shattered.

As a father you can't help feel for Tim, his son is in a shocking position mainly due to the Essendon football club.

One thing he did say was that at the end of this saga that there will massive sanctions handed out.
i think he definitely looked conflicted. Tim is an Essendon man through and through, so for the club to get his son into this position would be tearing him to pieces, especially considering the involvement of James Hird who most people would trust 100%. Having said that though, im sure Tim can recognise that Jobe should have been questioning the practice of jabbing himself in the arm with needles often and routinely.

Tim is about the only person i feel sorry for after watching that interview. I wonder when he found out about the practices being employed down there at the bombers.

You have to feel for Tim as a parent. The club he adores (and adores him) has put his son in a terrible place. The conflict would be hard to deal with (as you could see in that interview). But Tim is an insider at EFC so it must be even harder for all the other parents who have no lifelong association with EFC. Just an appalling situation all round.
