I’d still be interested at the right price, he hasn’t been great but at least a natural winger and makes our wings look like Isaac Smith.
His had no consistency due to injury. If he gets hid body right he could be anything, unfortunately that looks like a big if at this stage.
I think Willem will be the best of the three brothers.

Coffield played the last 4 games for Sandringham zebras VFL seemed to go well by the reports,

Naughton’s deal makes the English negotiations all the more fascinating. He’s gonna want 7 years minimum.

Jamarra will probably go for 5 years which takes through to restricted free agency I believe.

Gws willing to pay some of nick Haynes salary , I'd take him for free and some salary, all of a sudden our backline looking better

It depends. English might want another 2 year contract if he and his partner truly haven’t settled on their long term plans together.

Would hope in all this talk for pick '4' Sam Power is telling the Suns its actually pick 6, so 10 & 17 are enough.

Out of that Naughts/Marra/Tim/Baz "big 4".

Optimistically I would like to keep all 4.

Realistically I would expect to retain 3.

Pessimistically would be keeping 2 and I wouldn't at all expect to lose any more than that.

Naughts (tick) and Marra would be my first two choices to keep - and hard to see us not planning around a payday for Marra. And how close he is to Bont and Naughts would help. Unless another 10 year deal comes knocking, don't see him going.

Unfortunately with a cap jump comes crazy deals being offered left and right. 8 years for Naughts, then say 5 years for Marra, Tim now would expect 7-8 years, and who knows what Geelong have tabled to Baz. Keeping in mind that Bont in free agency in two years may well command the biggest contract ever at that point, if he remains unsigned.

We can and would have planned around cap jumps but we can't quite account for teams doing crazy s**t like offering 10 year deals (Though Naughts was a perfect storm in terms of talent, age, position, cap going up). I think in a certain sense we're hoping that teams don't try and see how far we can bend without breaking with godfather offers to our players. I know Collingwood just won a premiership, but they handed out big money like candy, then had a very painful offseason salary dumping several players.

We have lacked a specialist coin tosser for a while.

Agree but let’s not get silly and use Cofield as to make the point we are destination club. Like saying Scache coming to us who was pick 2 makes a destination club

He is worth getting especially if he doesn’t cost much and hope it works out. He could prove to be a great pick
Shocking pick up as bad as the fella we picked up last year

No substance at all

As fragile as they come to add to the others

So disappointing

If we bring him in can we make him sit out the year at Footscray and bring water to Bont in the seniors if they aren’t playing at the same time?

Every time he complains we make him watch Macrae take the mark and kick the sealer over his head in the ‘16 prelim on repeat.

Coffield exactly the sort of medium defender with height that we need. Great cheap, high upside get to fill a role.
If he can stay on the park he could be the mobile intercept with good disposal. Which would be a huge upgrade and could definitely help improve our transition.

Could you trade with GWS instead.
6 , 2024r2,Haynes for 10, 2024r1.
No one on this board would be keen on using our f1 in general, especially not for a salary dump. I think the only way we trade up is if we can hit one of the elite 6, which your pick wouldn’t achieve unfortunately

James Harmes big chance to the dogs ,has met with club.

Hell no.
We can't get the ball out of our back half as it is. Bruce took an eternity to get boot to ball, Gardner the same. Haynes this year takes at least as long.
He's trading on reputation, not output.
