I've never been into roots/folk, but I recently stumbled on this via a music doco.



I mean, I'd heard the song before, but it never hit home. But now that it has, holy hell. This is seriously a musical masterpiece.

This version is especially amazing, featuring Mavis Staples and family. Levon's (drummer) opening salvo is also just the most country twang I have ever heard (but in a good way).
