This is the one I daydream about

* because I'm not member of a Royal family.

That is stunning! Reminds me of this:

I'm with you on this one. I also don't like two toned bands.
Would you like my dream watch if it had a plain band? I think this one is just as lovely

Nahh the rose gold makes it
Comparing the 2 I think I agree. Not that I need to worry about making a choice just yet. Can't even afford the Tiffany bangle I've been dreaming of so a Rolex is a long way off :(

If you like it don't let anyone stop you! Rob Rolex! The plus side of a dual-toned watch though is that it lets you have more accessorizing options... I'm kind of stuck with silver/white gold if I want to wear my watch.

PS don't go Tiffany unless it's White Gold. Now that I'm in the industry, I cannot believe how little it costs to make something compared to how much they sell it for. It's like a 200%+ profit. I don't even want to imagine what Rolex's must be - must be like 10000%. I got given a Tiffany's bracelet and it's gone yucky in like a year. Not touching them again.

I don't wear much jewellery aside from a T Keys necklace and 2 T rings every day. After trying it on I really really want the X-wide cuff. Even in SS it's $1950. But I get you, it's totally not worth it - just a little addictive.

only 200%?

Alcohol is closer to 500%....

I will say though, the thing I don't like about Rolexs? Rolexes? Not sure what the plural is. Anyway, the battery is annoying. That's putting it nicely. If it isn't worn every single day, it probably keeps time for another day or so. So, it needs to be wound every day or two when you don't touch it if you want to wear it again... but it's one of those things that is progressive in that the more you wear it, the more time it will keep. To maintain the quality of the watch, you also shouldn't shake it to restart it, but rather do 40 full rotations (with the minute hand as a barometer). It's tedious and a lot of thought IMO. I do miss my old watch that broke, but was just a regular battery one. It would be fine, then I'll go spend a little to get a new battery. It was a lot less to think about. I guess that's very first world problems though.

Oh, and you also can't leave it for long periods of time, because that messes with the oil or something. It won't ever stop winding, but it'll lose accuracy over time.
Service is a crapola and about twice as expensive as Omega which was already nearing $1000. At least that was what it was for my dad, I don't know if the price changes based off the RRP of the watch.

Food for thought MaxMinch and sataris
