Week 10 had it all; comebacks, fails and then there was the Bears. Depending on which side of the fence you sat it was either a great weekend or horrendous. Or if you’re Jay Cutler just another game against the Packers. The playoff race is starting to take shape and as we enter the pointy end of the season every game is going to be vital especially if you are in the AFC East, North and South and the NFC East, North, and West. So lift your game AFC West and NFC South.
Hey look another Thursday night kick-off and another boring game involving the Browns in a blow-out. Wait the Browns weren’t getting blown-out? It appears the winds of change have hit Cleveland (or was it LeBron?) at any rate the natives don’t care as the Browns demolished the Bengals who in the words of Jeremy Hill “Weren’t as good as we thought they were.” Yeah, righto. (24-3) Browns
It was a defensive struggle at Buffalo as Kansas City and Buffalo faced off to keep their play-off hopes alive. In the end it was Buffalo who came out on top thanks to some last quarter heroics from Sherman and Charles. Alex Smith still hasn’t thrown a TD pass to a wide receiver all season. (17-13) Chiefs
I really hate Detroit. The notched their third come from behind victory in the last 2 minutes in as many weeks to topple a Dolphins outfit looking to keep in touch with the Patriots. This is a Detroit team known for folding down the stretch yet all the luck is falling their way as they now face the Cardinals sans Carson Palmer. (16-20) Lions
The Cowboys and the Jaguars travelled over the pond for basically an exhibition match as 22 or so Cowboys missed curfew yet still took care of the Jags. Seriously that’s the most interesting tid-bit from this ‘match’. (31-17)
In what was easily the game of the round the 49ers went into New Orleans and toppled the Saints in overtime in a game that could potentially kick-start them on the road to the play-offs. The game wasn’t without controversy though as Jimmy Graham was called for offensive pass interference on what would’ve been the game winning touchdown in shades of the infamous ‘Fail Mary’ play in Seattle. Seriously watch the 2nd half of this game as I don’t have enough space to explain how awesome it was. (27-24) 49ers
Zach Mettenberger was greeted by the Baltimore Ravens in his first road game to the tune of five sacks and a loss. It was a good game for Baltimore who halted a 2 game losing streak and kept in touch with the Browns (I’m serious) in the AFC North. (7-12) Ravens
Big Ben and the Steelers marched into Metlife Stadium having won their past two games and with Big Ben throwing 12 TDs in the span. They left with a loss. You ask me how is that possible? I use the old time tradition of ‘Any Given Sunday’ simply because I have no idea as the Jets suck. (13-20) Jets
It was an NFC South cellar dweller clash. I’m just presuming nothing exciting happened and nobody cares. (27-17) Falcons
The Raiders hosted Denvers and as everybody expected it was a blow-out. The Raiders while on the right track never stood a chance against the Broncos lead by Pey-Pey. I was really hoping the Raiders could crack a win here but it wasn’t too be unfortunately. (41-17) Broncos
St. Louis v Arizona was a defensive struggle all night long. Then the opportunistic Arizona defence struck and that was all she wrote as Patrick Peterson returned an interception for a TD and a Drew Standon TD put the Lambs away in the fourth. It wasn’t all good news for the Cards though as they lost newly re-signed QB Carson Palmer for the season with an ACL injury. (14-31) Cardinals
This was the final game for the Giants to keep their play-off hopes alive and the Seahawks slammed it shut or more appropriately bulldozed it shut to the tune of 350 rushing yards. In what is not only the final nail in the coffin of the Giants play-off hopes I think this spells the end of Coughlin and Eli in New York. On the other hand the Seahawks still keep in touch in the NFC West. (17-38) Seahawks
Someone forgot to tell the Beas of the kick-off time as Aaron Rodgers ran rampant to the tune of 6 TDs in the first half (yes you read that correctly). Seriously A-Rod connected in 18 of 27 passes for a touchdown of one in every 3rd pass as the Packers utterly annihilated the Bears. The most interesting thing to come out of the game was that Clay Matthews started at ILB for the Pack. (14-55) Packers
The Eagles laid a beat down on the floundering Panthers. In his first start since 2012 Mark “Butt-Fumble” Sanchez played a very good game for the Eagles. The Eagles are still having trouble getting their run game going but they have taken the box seat in the NFC East.

- Bucs @ Redskins (who sucks more)
- According to Eagles fans the game against the Pack will be interesting.
