Higher quality or not no one’s going to deny it’s a contested ball league, as much as the VFL, potentially moreso. You’d feel confident drafting someone putting up those numbers knowing it’s going to translate to the higher level and that he could do a job.

He’s certainly not as sexy a selection as the 27 year old ex con with 4 young kids but the clubs willingness to recruit for running capacity in recent times shows a pleasing amount of self awareness.

Also would know Francis really well which can’t be a bad thing.

Go forth Will, bring the 46 guernsey back to the promised land.

McGrath: 20m Sprint = 3.02secs, Repeat Sprint = 24.44secs, Agility = 8.38secs, 3km TT = 10:42, Beep Test = 13.1

McGrath is an eye poppingly good athlete and Snelling matches him. If he’s going to be 176cm and a success in this league he’s got to have something that separates himself and an athletic profile like that certainly does.

Congrats to you bombers and Will he is a very good get. Didnt crack our team for a reason that no one knows. Was regularly racking them up in the SANFL wasnt listed as an emergency often no one on our board really knows. Certaintly not due to his character as he was U/18 Captain for the SA side. Played one AFL game vs gold coast where he looked ok. SANFL wise underated distrubtor by hand and foot. Tested well in the combine for speed and endurance in his draft year. All the best we at port are wrapped for him to get another chance hopefully he plays a few quality games and you get the best out of him that we for whatever reason couldnt
