    So what I learned from this thread is that its worse to strap a bomb onto a 10 year old girl and send her to kill people, than to kidnap someone from home, and at threat of murdering their family, send them to bomb people and kill them.     Certainly the Palestinians in the 2nd Initifada openly talked about their use of suicide bombers as a strategic weapon - it was their only way of inflicting mass casualties and creating "terror" in the opponent's population, which is how total war is fought.

    It is a hideous crime but the point is its not something that ONLy the horrible Muslims do. That's not deflecting any blame away from Boko Haram, or wider Sunni jihad. Its making the point that such acts are not unique to one group.

    The IRA also used to use proxy bombers. The Tamil Tigers used child suicide bombers too. So yeah, it isn't a "Muslim" thing. Its a standard dirty war guerilla tactic.

    I find mosques tend to be "more awesome" to visit than churches. And there is something quite humbling about Muslims at prayer, like by the side of the road or whatever. Possibly just me. I was raised Catholic, spent plenty of time in churches, novelty wore off ages ago.
