Extremely sad news for those of us who had the pleasure of knowing him.
I reckon the key to him is where he settles.
He settled midfield in last year's Caulfield Cup and looked a world beater when he finished too well.
He was near last in the Cup last year - a very hard task from there and ran accordingly.
He has settled at the back of the field in this year's...
Went along on Sunday night - good atmosphere with plenty of people in Glenelg but it was the most boring event I've been to since I attended the Grand Prix in the 1990s!
You basically sit and wait for a bunch of cyclists to ride by and clap them even though you have no idea what is going on!!
If there is to be a Fitzroy board (and that's a big if), it should be hidden away with the other Regional Boards.
It's very sad that some people can't just move on.:thumbsd:
