    My understanding is that PC were aware pre game of said player and were talking it up post hiding. They took it to the VAFA Monday Morning. That said, rules are rules and the clerical error by one person/s from WGFC is unforgiveable. I heard players were shattered, emotional and distraught.

    Johns goes to sleep in the blowouts and rises to the top when the heat is on. Heard some severe injuries to key Canterbury players in what was a hard physical game which is shame, you want the best at there best in August/September. Grannies are invariably won by clubs with the shortest injury list.

    My take on it is that it was unobserved incident - umpires didn't see it. Hence, it goes to investigation and why the player isn't formally reported (and now wont be) and the investigation panel will hand down the sentence.
