Preview Changes and pre-match discussion vs Melbourne

Holy moly Umpire 35 Bailes was so bad last week I had look up his name midgame so I could yell his name. I’ve never done that before. The umpiring was so bad it started becoming my focus. There was one good umpire, two bad ones, and one horrific Umpire (Bailes #35).

Preview Changes and pre-match discussion vs Melbourne

I genuinely believe we’re currently better suited to the MCG than to Marvel. Marvel is smaller and has narrower wings and pockets and a famously “fast deck”. So that means transition up through the corridor can be rapid and devastating. Teams getting on a run can pile on the goals. Teams...

    Autopsy Autopsy vs WBD

I think that’s a good take. Thought we played well tonight.

    Autopsy Autopsy vs WBD

The players did well under adversity and didn’t disgrace the jumper. I never thought we’d win but there was no hope with that run of umpiring. umpire 35 (Peter Bailes) was particularly bad.

    Opinion Commentary & Media VIII

This has a bunch of likes but I disagree. I think we need to learn that there’s hyper-optimists and hyper-pessimists and everything in between. In life as in football. We don’t need to prosecute how one another feels about the team, or question people’s motives, after every result. It gets...

Player Watch #17: Riley 'Stiffy' Hardeman

I’m so happy with Hardeman. - he can defend one on one. - he can kick (makes good decisions, low darters and fast long low kicks, hits the target - very different to McDonald’s big high long floaters which can be useful but not nearly as impactful) - got a bit of dash on him. We’ve had too...

Memes that aren't particularly funny, but only make sense on this board

Seeing as it's a happy week and it feels like we're finally, finally turning a corner. I think it's worth remembering the absolute bullshit we've been through. May I present, the North Melbourne Fans Misery Ice-berg:

Preview Round 16 changes vs hawks in launnie Saturday 4:15pm

I think the good feeling in the club that’s been building up over eight weeks is going to do the players wonders. I don’t expect us to win this one but we need to make sure the vibes stay positive. I think there’s a small chance Hawthorn go in a touch complacent and we get the jump on them.

Player Watch #25: Paul Curtis - career best 5 goals vs Richmond + GOTY Contender

Mate, before the game I was talking to. Carlton fan who was complaining that “Christian” Xerri is a brute and just wants to hurt players. I wasn’t offended. I was pleased.

for sure. Doesn’t get credit for always cracking in.

Or Cooper? I’m expecting only one non-forced change. Two at most. Banch will debut before the end of the season but I suspect it will be later in the year.

My mum said, “He’s wearing sleeves so they don’t see the strapping and target him”. I think she might have been right. I wouldn’t be averse to resting him if he’s sore. Carlton always destroy us with key forwards so we needed him. That’s not Hawthorn’s strength, we need to win in the middle...

Preview Round 16 changes vs hawks in launnie Saturday 4:15pm

Man it feels good to look forward to a game after a win. I actually think we need to give Cooper Harvey a chance. We’ll never know unless we give him another go. He’s been putting up great stats in the VFL. Also I can’t wait for Tasmania to come in so this game can come back to the MCG. I...

Player Watch #10: Colby McKercher - has a broken finger, needs surgery, club expects him to be ready for Rd 1

It’s only now occurring to me just how lacking we’ve been in the run and carry department these last five years. Jaiden Stephenson and Bailey Scott hadn’t been cutting it. Stephens and Colby are much better. Frankly, I don’t care that they’re both on the softer side. We’ve got heaps of very...
