    Hurdling champ at 13-16, chose team sports as was lonely training on his own. Carlton U/19's in comparison to todays TAC Cup drafting pool... miles apart, so Hampson would be ahead on that basis I believe.

    True, but I think Hammer's hands are better than you think they are.... dropped marks are more youth and confidence based I think. Just type in Shaun Hampson on you tube, and pick 'Hammer', then for a winger role for him pick 'Armfield and Hampson go for a run'.

    I believe it just might be...he is a super athlete. And he kicks it a mile on the run or set shot, and blazing down the wing at high-speed with his size, I would not want to tackle him.... Lookout for the freight train.

Hammer is still a fledgling in comparison at this stage, and Kouta had a great team giving him a "leg up", and Hammer is bigger and usually take just a little longer to develop.     Agree, have you seen Hammer's attack on the ball and willingness to use his unbelievable physique in a hard but fair and controlled manner? Kouta never intimidated like he should have...lacked mongrel.

    Nobody matched Williams by hand in close.... Nobody. Koutas best was a fast, leaping and damaging winger or a RR that marked everything that came his way or took it ground level with a judd burst! Interesting thoughts though, thanks for contributing to the debate.
