Full credit to the commentator in the VFL game who after Jack drilled a goal from a set shot, announced "he's got Ison his veins". I reckon that'll get a run in a headline or two over Jacks career.
I don't think we've played Derksen forward anytime since we've had him but he went very well up forward in his short stint in the NT. It would be very Carlton to send him forward first up in the big time.
This is genius. What better way to get Walks to slip down the draft order than have him hang out with Bazlenka. It's even better than a refused breath test.
A couple more of these and we may even get him for a second rounder!
Now the funny thing would be Jack going to the Pies for stability after being used forward, back and in the ruck at the Blues only for the Pies to lose a forward and a ruck but luckily have drafted Jack who can do all the above.
I'll miss watching Bam Bam, sure lack of pace was his issue but lack of heart certainly wasn't. A great 1v1 mark and a lovely kick. Hope he goes well at the Doggies.
Would be interested in keen watchers thoughts on Olli Hotton. I've watched a couple of his games online and liked what I've seen. Is he a chance around our first pick?
JSos’s role gets much bigger now. He’ll create a contest when required, get Mots in and put plenty of smalls around him. Kennedy and Cripps resting forward to help out as they do. We’ll see how we adapt.
I personally think Philp has got all the tools and will be in our starting midfield in 3 years. He really offers something different with his pace and acceleration and that should complement what we already have in the middle.
Fingers crossed he can get out on the park this year and show...
I think Honey is going to explode next year. He's got all the tools and some of the glimpses this year were very exciting.
I had Philp as my second choice, his speed is a need for us and think he will get an opportunity and take it.
Of course I had Stocker also, just not sure this is the year...
