AFL Player 1: Andrew "Pidge" McGrath (c) - 42nd Captain of the Essendon Football Club

At least one was definitely on McGrath - then they moved Prior on to him and he tried to take a chest mark instead of spoiling Jones’ overhead grab

AFL Player 7: Indefatigable Zach Merrett

Was it a tantrum? Think she was just poking fun/having a bit of a laugh, didn’t seem too malicious

AFL Player 1: Andrew "Pidge" McGrath (c) - 42nd Captain of the Essendon Football Club

West was his first win for the year though. Since preseason, every opponent he’s had’s got the better of him. And Scott had to move him off Jones last night too (though we admittedly didn’t have an answer for him). A better defensive game last night, though he probably undid that with how poor...

AFL Player 21: Archie “The Enforcer” Roberts - Rising Star & Most Improved at the BnF

I think moving him from there hurt the team while he wasn’t there. Yes, only very short term, but I don’t think the potential reward outweighed the risk. Just my opinion. Sounds like we’re both glad he’s back there now, at least for now, any way

AFL Player 31: Zach Reid - Reports of a hamstring were false - 6/4

He’s probably like most of us - he feels any pinch/tightness and thinks he’s pulled his hammy off the bone. Good result

    AFL Player 5: Elijah Tsatas

Not really. Mitchell couldn’t get in because of the likes of Goodes/Josh Kennedy/Jude Bolton/Hannebery/etc Tsatas been stuck behind Parish, Setterfield and co

AFL Player 21: Archie “The Enforcer” Roberts - Rising Star & Most Improved at the BnF

I’m not saying the act was stupid, I’m saying the timing was. If Sharp has plenty of time, then so should Roberts..? At this stage, I just don’t know why we’d mess with one thing/position we’ve got working well. Anyway, it seems for the time being common sense has prevailed - I really want to...

AFL Player 21: Archie “The Enforcer” Roberts - Rising Star & Most Improved at the BnF

We just seem to do it at stupid times. He’s coming off his second season, where he was so good at half back he came 2nd in the B&F. That, and if you take Roberts out of the backline, given it was before Farrow was getting a game and with Redman and Ridley injured, it leaves you with McGrath and...

    AFL Player 16: Archie Perkins

Let’s just give him the benefit of the doubt and give him the chance to bounce back next week

McGrath’s skills honestly might not be VFL level

Probably ambitious but we shouldn’t really lose by more than 20. Especially with all their injuries

English and Arty both out - we should be a genuine sniff here
