    Those players have to want to come to Essendon too though. If you were a best-23 player for the Hawks, why would you want to move to Essendon? Or to any side not playing finals, really.

    It'll be an interesting year for him. At some point in the piece, he is going to need to be judged on wins & losses. 2026 will be year number four. If we're bottom 4 again, I would hope that if his contract is extended, it's only on a year by year basis.

    Pre draft, who from our list would we want at the end of a handball chain? Merrett and Martin are the only two absolutes I can think of. Maybe Duzz and Redman? Roberts? I think Farrow will be exactly that

    For sure. None of the bottom 4 sides can be too picky - us, North, Eagles and Richmond (& probably can incl Melbourne too) have holes all over the list. I actually think we’re in a pretty good spot with picks 5 & 6

    Agree with almost the entire team Aside from Johnson - couldn’t get a game in a 13 straight loss side with 16-odd injuries. And Prior played every game/no VFL. That’d be my only swap

    If you don’t like Soloman’s ‘poor record’ at GC, how do you feel about Scott’s record the past few years? And his current 13 game losing streak? I’m not particularly high or low on either Soloman or Scott - but there’s more to it than a team record

    Bit of an overreaction for mine. After Gia left, we’d have had few options. Solly’s had over a decade experience. If we’re just going to say that because Suns were crap that means Soloman is a crap assistant - then we probably need to look at our own head coach too

    Was going to say, one of the few times BF seems in total agreement. Gave it a good crack, likable player - just probably not quite good enough at AFL level
